An EU trade mark covers all 27 Member States with a single application. The EUIPO charges an official fee based on the number of classes of goods and services. The calculator works out the fee for an application and for a renewal according to the EUIPO fee schedule.

How the fees are calculated
- Individual trade mark: EUR 850 online (EUR 1,000 on paper), 1 class included.
- Collective or certification mark: EUR 1,500 online (EUR 1,800 on paper), 1 class included.
- 2nd class EUR 50, 3rd and each additional class EUR 150.
- Renewal after 10 years: same amounts as the application; late renewal surcharge of 25%, up to EUR 1,500.

How much are EUIPO fees for an EU trade mark?
For online filing, the basic fee for an individual EU trade mark is EUR 850 and covers one class of goods and services. The second class costs EUR 50, and the third and each additional class EUR 150. For a collective or certification mark, the basic fee is EUR 1,500.
How much does it cost to renew an EU trade mark?
Renewal fees are the same as application fees: online, EUR 850 for the first class, EUR 50 for the second and EUR 150 for each additional class. For renewal in the additional six-month period, a surcharge of 25% of the renewal fee is added, up to EUR 1,500.
Is the EUIPO fee different for paper filing?
Yes. The basic fee for a paper application or renewal of an individual mark is EUR 1,000, and EUR 1,800 for a collective or certification mark. Fees for the second and further classes are the same as for online filing.
