2. Price and payment

  • Service price: 900 EUR + VAT
EUIPO subsidy: EUR 810 (90% of the price excluding VAT)
Real cost for VAT payers : only 90 EUR
→ Super advantageous for companies that are VAT payers.

  • What if you are not a VAT payer?

  • Then you will pay full VAT on the amount of EUR 900, i.e. +EUR 189.
You will pay a total of 279 EUR.

  • This is like:

    • 3 visits to the restaurant with a client

    • 1 larger graphic design from an external designer

    • half the invoice for visualization software

  • The difference ? This investment will show you what is legally yours – and what you can start protecting or monetizing.

  • And you get 90% of it back.

3. Cooperation procedure

  1. The client signs the Declaration of Representatives and provides the necessary input documents.

  2. Bold Legal, through its expert, will prepare and submit an application for a subsidy to the EUIPO.

  3. After the subsidy is allocated, the client sends a request to the Office of the Registrar for the nomination of a provider (Bold Legal expert).

  4. The expert will then process the IP screening and provide the client with an output report.

  5. After the report is approved by the IPO, an invoice is issued.

  6. After paying the expert's invoice, the expert will submit a request for reimbursement of costs to the EUIPO.

  7. The refund is made directly by the EUIPO to the client's account specified in the application.

4. Approval Timeframe

  • EUIPO has a maximum of 15 working days to approve the grant.

  • The process of processing the report, its review by the IPV and reimbursement usually takes 4–15 weeks from the approval of the subsidy (depending on the number of documents, however).

5. Limitation of liability

  • IP Scan is not a legal service according to Act No. 85/1996 Coll.

  • The output is of an indicative and strategic nature - it does not replace a specific legal opinion or registration of rights.

  • The service is provided according to the methodology of the EUIPO and the Office for the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights and its aim is to provide an indicative overview and propose a further strategy.

6. Other arrangements

  • The grant application is non-binding and can be withdrawn at any time until its approval.

  • The capacity of the service is limited by the EUIPO's annual budget - participation is guaranteed only until the allocated funds are exhausted.

1. What is it about?

The IP Scan service is a professional assessment (so-called pre-diagnostics, it is an indicative due diligence) of the client's intellectual property rights, carried out in cooperation with the Industrial Property Office (ÚPV) and the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), with subsidized support from the EUIPO.
