Frequently asked questions
Short answers
Why monitor a trade mark after registration?
Registration alone is not enough. New applications for similar marks are filed all the time, and without regular monitoring you may find out about them too late. Monthly monitoring gives you early warning so that you can defend your trade mark.
How much does trade mark monitoring cost and what does it include?
CZK 4,990 per year (≈ CZK 416 per month) for 1 EU trade mark in up to 5 classes. It includes monthly checks of the WIPO, EUIPO and national registers, alerts on possible conflicts, a written monthly report and unlimited consultations on next steps.
Does trade mark monitoring include filing an opposition?
No. Monitoring alerts you to a conflicting application in time. An opposition against an EU trade mark application can be filed within 3 months of its publication, and we prepare it on request.
